Tower Ford was established in 1914 by Marshfield High School graduate (and player on the first MHS football team) I.R. (Russ) Tower. Russ's nephew Loring (Bud) Day moved his family from Southern California to Coos Bay to work with his uncle in the dealership. Bud' Charlie, also a Marshfield alum, joined the business after attending college and his children Amy, Charlie Jr. and Norman later followed along with Amy's husband Matt.
Amy, Charlie Jr. and Norm all attended Marshfield in the 1980s and 1990s and all participated in sports and extracurricular activities. Tower Ford and the Day family have been long-time boosters of Marshfield High School providing financial support and through coaching and volunteering.
The entire team at Tower Motor recognizes the importance of strong community bonds between local
businesses and the schools. We are thankful for the support we receive from teachers, coaches, staff and parents and look forward to the next generation keeping our community vibrant and strong.
Thank you!
