Fraser led Marshfield to back-to-back state football titles in 1954 and 1955 as the team's quarterback. He went on to play for the University of Oregon, becoming the first Duck to participate in two bowl games -- the 1958 Rose Bowl and 1960 Liberty Bowl. He was inducted into the University of Oregon Hall of Fame in 1994. Following college, he worked as a salesman, selling logging and construction equipment. He died in 2007.

He went on to become part of an NCAA champion track team at Oregon and was inducted into the university's hall of fame in 2009. He graduated from University of Oregon Medical School in 1964 and has had a distinguished career in psychiatry.
Cheryl (Bates) Duman (Class of 1973)

She was part of a school-record 880-yard relay team as a freshman, helped the Pirates win a state title in track and field as a junior, won the individual state title in the mile as a senior and placed in the top 10 in the state cross country meet even though Marshfield didn't have a girls team and she had to work out with the boys. Duman also was involved in student council and Girls State and was sports editor of the school newspaper. She's gone on to a distinguished career in education as a teacher and coach and currently is a school counselor in Junction City.
Todd Post (Class of 1981)
Post was a football and basketball player for the Pirates before becoming a standout in track and field as a high jumper. As a senior, he cleared 6 feet, 11 inches to win the state title and earn All-American honors. The mark was a state record at the time and still is Marshfield's school record. He played basketball and competed in track and field at Southwestern Oregon Community College before joining the University of Oregon's track team. He followed his college years with a successful career in the seafood industry and currently lives and works in Seattle.
